A long week exploring Barcelona, Munich, and Bratislava. Meeting local youth groups, talking to people in the streets and exploring 2 topics

Each Easter Fimcap creates a training course and in 2025 this will be an experiment to see if this could be done on interrail. It will also not be at Easter, but instead in the end of September / beginning of October.

A group of 30 young leaders from across Europe will travel through Barcelona, Munich and Bratislava exploring 2 topics related to solidarity.

The two topics we will explore are including people with disabilities and trans rights.

Many local groups are challenged with including young people with disabilities and we feel this could also be an interesting topic to explore.

We are also provoked by the controvesy of the female Algerian boxer, Imane Khelif in the Paris Olympics. While Imane is not trans, the discourse around her raised many topics that we would like to discuss in this setting with many cultures and backgrounds.

We will practice tolerance, listening to perspectives we disagree with and also hitting the streets in these three cities asking locals their opinions.

In each city we will visit a local youth group to create an evening exploring the strengths of diversity and also take part in local customs and traditions.

Do not confuse this with tourism. You will not be visiting the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia or Neuschwanstein Castle. There is very little free time in the cities for shopping as we maximise the potential for intercultural experiences.
